I was diagnosed with Stage 4 (terminal) lung cancer in April 2011 – rather a shock for someone who had never smoked. I began with conventional treatment, including chemotherapy, but have since shifted entirely to complementary medicine, with a strong focus on diet and exercise. I strongly believe patients should have both options, not either or. That’s why I wanted to use my involvement in The Ride to raise money for Yes To Life, a charity which offers patients support an advice for an intergrated conventional complementary approach.
